19th Century Mahogany Regency Writing / Library Table
An exceptional mahogany Regency writing or library table, featuring a rectangular green leather inset top tooled with an elegant border of gilt-scrolled acanthus flower heads and a subtly worn patina that attests to its age. Three aligned drawers on each side provide ample storage for papers and writing implements, the brassware having been replaced to ensure reliable function. The piece is set on a pair of ebonized, banded, harp-shaped columns supported by down-swept legs with delicate ebony inlay, each terminating in brass castors that allow graceful movement while preserving the table’s refined silhouette.
Leather top replaced.
Size: 60” W x 38.75” D x 30” H
