Magnificent Custom English Regency Revival 102” Expanding Radial Dining Table

$16,500.00

A masterfully crafted, bespoke English Regency Revival mechanical expanding dining table, this exceptional centerpiece was custom-commissioned in 2001 through the award-winning interior design firm Jenkins Baer Associates (Baltimore, MD) under the direction of renowned designer Alexander Baer for a prominent local estate. Built to the highest standards of luxury cabinetmaking, this table represents the pinnacle of 21st-century artisan craftsmanship.
The tabletop features a spectacular, bookmatched flame mahogany veneer arranged in a striking, tight sunburst pattern radiating outward from the center. The core tabletop is elegantly framed by a contrasting, light-toned satinwood crossbanded border. The entire top rests upon a substantial, low-profile central column pedestal supported by three masterfully carved, structural scroll-shaped legs.
Unlike traditional rectangular extension tables that split down the center, this table expands radially while maintaining its elegant circular form. Utilizing a highly reliable, historically inspired pull-out system, the table's apron features integrated wooden support bearers that smoothly glide outward like drawers. The matching peripheral leaves rest securely on top of these extended supports, pinning directly into the main tabletop with precision dowels.

Provenance: Custom-made for a private client via Alexander Baer / Jenkins Baer Associates, Baltimore

Size: 102” D (8.5 feet), accommodates 10 to 12 guests comfortably
