The table features a substantial, richly grained walnut slab top with a warm, even patina, supported by a robust double pedestal base that emphasizes its commanding presence. Two boards form the top, surrounded by an outer frame, with the corner edges fastened with beautiful steel braces.
The feet are intricately carved in the elegant scroll shoe style, while the lower trestle base contributes further to its refined aesthetic appeal and overall structural integrity.
A discreet remedial stretcher has been carefully added to support and stabilize the trestle base, sensitively executed to preserve and respect the table’s original character and provenance.
