19th Century Swedish Rococo-style Dining Chairs
A set of ten 19th-century Swedish rococo-style dining chairs, freshly painted in ochre, exudes graceful period character and a warm, meticulously restored finish. The gently curved crest rail showcases a delicate carved floral-and-leaf motif above a shaped back splat with elegant, flowing contours that catch the light and draw the eye. The front seat rail bears a finely carved central ornament, flowing into sinuous cabriole legs that terminate in impressive ball-and-claw feet with crisp, well-defined carving.
To enhance sturdiness and ensure long-term use, the chairs have been fitted with a discreet remedial “H” stretcher, sympathetically added to preserve both their appearance and structural integrity while remaining unobtrusive.
Size: 42” H x 22” w x 19” D, seat height 20”
